Application of fluorescent whitening agent in other industries!
In addition to the application of fluorescent brighteners in our more common plastics industry, paint and ink industry, printing and dyeing industry, washing industry, paper industry, etc., what other industries can it be used for? Today I will take you to understand the optical brighteners in other Industry applications.
Fluorescent Brightener
1 Application of fluorescent whitening agent in medicine
The use of fluorescent whitening agents for the difference in affinity and ability of different cells is used as a standard in medicine to detect the presence of special proteins or antibodies in cells and can be used for medical diagnosis. For example, treatment of animal or human tissue sections with styrene fluorescent whitening agents containing at least four sulfonic acid groups and then examination with a fluorescent microscope can make a fast and reliable diagnosis of fungi and algae.
2. Fluorescent brightener is used to improve the appearance of industrial liquids
Fluorescent whitening agents are used in industrial liquids to improve the appearance of products. For example, after the fluorescent whitening agent OB is dissolved in an organic solvent, it can be dissolved in waxes, paraffins, minerals, and vegetable oils. An optical brightener can effectively mask the light yellow inherent in these products. Since the optical brightener OB has good light resistance in organic solvents, it can be added to a large number of industrial liquids.
3. Fluorescent brightener for stationery
The fluorescent whitening agent is used as a component in the magnetic writing board emulsion. The emulsion is sealed in a PVC grid to form a lattice of emulsion, and iron powder is also added to the emulsion. The writing board made has smooth lines and clear black and white.
4. Fluorescent brightener is used as ultraviolet absorber
The ability to absorb ultraviolet light with a fluorescent whitening agent is used in the engraving process of integrated circuit boards and in hair care compositions to reduce the damage of ultraviolet light to hair.
5. Fluorescent brightener is used to brighten pearls
The pearls are taken out of the shells and sold on the counter. A series of processes including pretreatment, bleaching, whitening, and glazing are required to make the color and gloss more attractive. Among them, the pre-treatment is to puff the pearls with benzene and ammonia, then dehydration with ethanol or glycerin, and then bleach with hydrogen peroxide or chlorine to make the pearl surface whiter. The whitening agent is whitened, and the final polishing makes the white pearl whiter.
