Dicumyl peroxide, also known as vulcanizing agent DCP. Melting point: 41-42 ℃. Decomposition temperature is 120-125 ℃. Stable at room temperature, gradually turning slightly yellow upon exposure to light. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, acetic acid,
benzene, and petroleum ether. The content of reactive oxygen species is 5.92% (purity 100%) and 5.62% (purity 95%).
Main use
Natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and polyethylene resin are used as vulcanizing agents and crosslinking agents, not for vulcanizing
butyl rubber. In Japan, 70% of polyethylene is used as cross-linking agent for cable sheath, and the other part is used as cross-linking
foam material for EVA, rubber vulcanization, curing cross-linking agent for unsaturated polyester, etc. Cross linked polyethylene, as a cable insulation material, not only endows polyethylene with excellent insulation and processing properties, but also improves its heat
resistance. Use 2.4 portions of this product for 100 portions of polyethylene. DCP can make EVA foam material form fine and uniform
foam, and improve heat resistance and weather resistance at the same time. This product is also used as an initiator for high polymer.
